The All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice (AICHLS) has condemned the killing of five persons during the anti-Maoist operation in Kandhamal and sought justice for the victims’ families. “On behalf of All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice (AICHLS), I condemn the killing of five innocents in Kandhamal district,” Dr. Anthony Raju , Advocate and Global Chairman - AICHLS said in a statement July 19'2016. “I also express our deep empathy to the family members of the five civilians killed in Kandhamal district on July 8 by security personnel. The killing was grave injustice , unfortunate and uncalled for,” he said. Five villagers, including a two-year-old girl Gracy Digal, were killed on the spot and five others injured in the firing, the Dr. Raju said.
