Yogi Adityanath waives off Rs 30,729 crore loan of U.P. farmers

In what comes as a big relief to the Uttar Pradesh farmers, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath waived off the loan of small and marginal farmers costing Rs. 30, 729 crore. Giving details, Cabinet Minister Siddharth Nath Singh said the decision, taken at the first cabinet meeting of the Adityanath government, will benefit 2 crore and 15 lakh farmers of the state. The farmers will also get Rs 10 more than the minimum support price per quintal.
